GENERAL MEDICAL COUNCIL AND BAD HEALTH

It appears that at present people who sit at Fitness to Practice hearings of General Medical Council do not undergo any Occupational health screenings. Thus a judge could be suffering from a dementing conditions brought by hereditary illness, alcohol, drugs or any other cause. Agency that supplies legal assessors to GMC does not do any health screening either. Doctors who find themselves before GMC suffer a great deal and public too when they are deprived of good doctors because of this essentially negligent process in the appointment of pannelists. Time for change!
